The Simón Bolívar Museum was inaugurated on 24 July 1983, coinciding with the bicentenary of the birth of Simón Bolívar.
Located in Bolívar, where the forebears of the Liberator lived, the Museum is housed in the caserío (farmstead) called Errementarikua, close to the old Pilgrim's Way to Compostela.
With collections illustrating the way of life in Vizcaya in the Middle Ages, the Museum also focuses on the personal and political career of Simón Bolívar, the Liberator. |
